About Cassie

Hello, I’m Cassie, I’m a local teaching pro in Knoxville.

I have been active in sports for my entire life, including playing college tennis for Reinhardt University from 2011-2015. I have been regularly enrolled in some sort of sports lesson starting when I was 5 years old. When I became a mother, I started thinking about slowing down the impact sports were having on my body, so I decided to try pickleball.

I instantly became obsessed (almost instantly…I initially stuck my nose up to it as most tennis players do, but I inevitably caught the pickleball bug and couldn’t put it down). I was introduced to pickleball in 2019 by one of Knoxville's favorite pickleball ambassadors, Pam Campbell. I was quick to learn that pickleball wasn’t all as easy as its reputation makes it seem!

It wasn’t long before I hung up my tennis racket altogether and pursued pickleball competitively. I have traveled and played in Atlanta Club Wars, USAPA Nationals, The US Open in Naples, and countless PPA and APP tournaments at the 4.0-5.0 levels, along with team moneyball events, while receiving medals along the way. Unfortunately, injury and age (I’m in my 30’s but I don’t want to hear it lol!!) have caught up to me, so I’ve had to slow down on the competitive side of things, but I still love to have fun out there on the court when I’m blessed with the invitation to play some good ol’ rec games!

I am passionate about sharing my love of the sport with other players who are eager to improve their games. We all grow and learn every day, and I would love to partner with you on figuring out exactly how you can level up your skills.

These days, I am immensely grateful to have the opportunity to provide lessons and clinics, and to grow the game of pickleball! Being able to schedule lessons around when I am taking care of and spending time with my children is the biggest blessing.

Thanks to all of you who have reached out to me for lessons, you are the reason I am able to keep doing what I love while still being able to spend time with the ones I love. Thank you!
